In honor of the 160th anniversary of Louis Vuitton, the LV monogram was reinterpreted into completely novel items by six luminaries in the worlds of art, fashion and design — namely Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Frank Gehry, Rei Kawakubo, Cindy Sherman, and Apple’s Marc Newson. The end results ranged from the classic Louis Vuitton leather trunk fitted with drawers colored in the hues of a macaw, to a punching bag and boxing gloves finished in the iconic monogram canvas. Read the Harper’s Bazaar editorial on this collection, and see more photos of the products at the Louis Vuitton website.
